Full Disclosure: I consider myself a liberal/progressive but also a pragmatist and as such this blog will undoubtedly have a perspective to it. However, anyone may join and write for this blog regardless of ideology. My purpose is to have a vigorous conversation/debate and not just preach to my personal choir.
Becoming a Contributor: Once you register with Outstate Politics, your default position will be that of a contributor. You may write and edit your own stories but will be unable to publish them. While I do not guarantee they will be published, I will read through and consider each post for publication. Let it be known, however, that I reserve the right to make minor editing changes.
Becoming an Author: While anyone can become a contributor simply by registering with Outstate Politics, there are some additional steps you must take if you would like to become an author with the posting privileges that come with that position.
- You may be invited to become an author after submitting quality work in the role of contributor.
- You may request to become an author by emailing me at eaustin (at) outstatepolitics (dot) com. In your email you should provide an explanation of what you intend to focus on in your writing and provide an example post.
I welcome the addition of all comers from all across the ideological spectrum in the hopes that we can build this site into the premier place for outstate politics discussion.
